COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WTVR) - Police released video of the men accused of shooting a witness during a Sunday night robbery in Colonial Heights. Police said the witness, who had a gun, tried stopping the would-be robbers at a 7-Eleven on the corner of North Boulevard and Sherwood Drive.

"It appears a citizen, who was armed, observed the crime in progress and entered the store to take some kind of action," Capt. Wayne Newsome said.  The shooting victim is listed in stable condition at the hospital.

Police are still looking for the shooters.  Early witness descriptions of the suspects indicated they were two black males, but after reviewing the surveillance video, investigators believe one of the suspects could be caucasian or have a fair complexion.

Both men were last seen wearing hoodies pulled tight over their heads and running south, away from the 7-Eleven store.
