AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) -- A Georgia girl's song about The Masters, the prestigious golf tournament now underway in Augusta, has gone viral.

Devon Williams said she was just writing about her experience at the international sporting event and cannot believe so many people have watched her video.

In fact, after one week of uploading the song, Williams had nearly 10,000 views on YouTube as of Saturday night.

Hundreds of patrons heard Devon Williams perform her own composition outside the Augusta National gates this week.

"I just wrote this song in my car several weeks ago and I've just kind of been putting it together and showed it to my family and they thought it was a hit decided," said Williams.  "I thought maybe a few of my friends would see it and like it and now people I don't even know are sending me messages and Facebooking me and tweeting me.

Williams has spent the last 17 spring breaks at The Masters, so she decided to write about it. She admits it is a somewhat unusual since most folks head to the beach or the mountains.

Williams said she decided to write a song about the prestigious event to show folks exactly why the tournament is such a big deal. Her song provides references from famous golf legends to the popular pimento cheese sandwiches.

The teen is still trying to figure out a good name for the catchy Masters melody.
