PHILADELPHIA (WTVR) — A 38-year-old man said his life was spared thanks to his lucky belt buckle.
The Philadelphia store clerk was about to walk outside when he heard gunshots.
Police said a man on a bike outside was firing into the store and had already shot another man.
Bienvenido Reynoso dropped to the floor, checking himself for a gunshot. It turned out the bullet was lodged in the thin buckle on his belt.
Another employee noticed a hole in his shirt — and pointed out what happened.
“The bullet hit right here,” Reynoso said. “Today, when I took it down out of the belt for the pain, it broke right here.”
Reynoso told reporters he’s sure God was involved, considering where the bullet ended up.
Police did capture the 24-year old-suspect, who has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
