RICHMOND, VA (WTVR): “Prom Bring It” proud “Winner of Seventeen Magazine’s 2012 Purple Dress Award” was founded in 2011 by Jenny High to assist parents and students with formal attire and accessories for Prom, Homecomings, Cotillions, Church Events, Weddings, Military Balls, and Father/Daughter Mother/Sons dances, etc.
Students who can’t afford to purchase brand new gowns or dresses can shop by appointment Saturdays and Sundays, 12 -3pm in a donated store front at 9986 Brook Road, Glen Allen, next to Coldstone Creamery at Virginia Center Creeks Mall. Tuxedos are rented at a discounted price.
A donation is suggested to help with the expenses and to paint a donated bus to transport students to and from prom events. “Prom Bring it” partners with local school districts, social services agencies, government entities, and community partners for youth development. Sponsors includes Epiphany Beauty, Dress Barn, Macy’s, Men’s Wearhouse, Shoe Carnival and Sports Clips, and collected gift certificates, limousine services and prizes in addition to prom and special occasion attire to distribute to event participants.
