RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- Some Richmond parents are upset their children might be moved from Clark Springs Elementary to John B. Cary Elementary School.
As a result, a group of parents started circulating a petition to change the proposed rezoning plan after the school board suggested closing Clark Springs.
The petition asks the board to instead rezone the Museum District to include William Fox and Mary Mumford Elementary Schools.
Authors of the petition said this would prevent overcrowding at John B. Cary and create a neighborhood school system.
Folks behind the campaign said they have already gathered about 200 signatures.
