Spotsylvania shooting leaves club employee dead

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Sheriff deputies responded to shooting around 1 a.m. at Q-Ball Café, located in the 900 block of Bragg Road.

When officials arrived on scene, they discovered the body of a security employee lying in front of the club.

Witnesses say an altercation started between two parties during a rap concert at the club. Officials report that one group was thrown out of the club and later became involved in another fight in the parking lot.

Authorities say the group drove by the club, fired several shots, killing the security guard.

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives are working on follow ups to leads in the investigation.
