HENRICO, Va. (WTVR)–Padow’s Hams & Deli, a longstanding Willow Lawn shop, will close its doors this Friday after having filed for bankruptcy in December.
Padow’s Hams & Deli opened its first location in the WIllow Lawn shopping center back in 1988, and the shops multiplied by adopting a franchise blueprint back in the 1990s.
The closure was announced via a Facebook post.

Unfortunately, The Willow Lawn store Will CLOSE for business at 6 p.m. on Friday March 29, 2013.

Now only the Gaskins and Broad Street location will remain as a store-owned shop. The other six locations around Richmond are franchises, a model adopted in the mid-1990s.
