64 west reopens in New Kent

NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Interstate 64 in New Kent County has reopened following a single-vehicle crash that shutdown all westbound lanes earlier Tuesday morning, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The crash happened in New Kent at mile marker 207, seven miles east of the 64/295 interchange.

VDOT suggested exiting Interstate 64 at exit 211 and then taking Route 106 north to Route 249 west to re-enter I-64 west at exit 205 (Bottoms Bridge).

State police said the crash did involve injuries.
