WASHINGTON—Budget cuts will lead to a halt in tuition assistance for soldiers and Marines.

The Amy announced that it was suspending its tuition assistance program at the end of business Friday.

Beginning Saturday, no aid applications for future coursework will be accepted.

The Army’s announcement follows a similar decision earlier this week by the Marine Corps.
