Charlottesville received 8-10 inches of snow fall.
The City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County both declared a local emergency and opened an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) early Wednesday morning.
Power outages were highest in the Shenandoah Valley and Piedmont area. At 9:00 p.m. this region still had almost half of the state's power outages, with more than 48,000 reported. View current outages by Dominon, here.
