RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – A weekend water shutdown planned for parts of downtown Richmond has been cancelled, according to the Richmond Department of Public Utilities. The city said crews needed more time to prep before replacing water valves.

Thursday, the city announced water service would be disrupted between the 200 – 500 blocks of West Broad Street and in areas near Boulevard, Interstate 195, Grace Street and Marshall Street so crews could replace water valves.
The city warned homes and businesses could be without water at points between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday.
