LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Investigators in Louisa are trying to figure out who set fire to a towing company and spray painted a racial slur on the building.

According to WCAV, Firefighters were called to K&K Towing at about 2:30 Tuesday morning. Crews said they tried to save the building, but it was too late.

At the same time, the “N word” was found spray painted on the side of the business, which is black-owned.

“It’s 2013. We shouldn’t have to worry about people righting stuff like that right now. It shouldn’t be a race thing,” said Joe Anile, who owns a business near the towing company.

Investigators with the sheriff’s department said they are working on both incidents, but they would not comment on whether the fire and vandalism are connected.
