CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – An exclusive club welcomed its first distinguished member. The Chesterfield County Office of the Senior Advocate inducted 102-year-old Millard F. Robinson into its Centenarian Club this month.

Born in 1911, Robinson enlisted in the Navy in 1928, at age 17. He served until the 1960s. During that time he was assistant to the Secretary of the Navy in the Truman and Eisenhower administrations.

Married in 1938, Robinson and his bride Vivian retired to California. Robinson moved to Chesterfield two years ago, at age 100, to be closer to his nephew.

Despite his advanced age, Robinson remains active and enjoys going out to eat.
