Police: Armed pair robs teens in Short Pump parking lot

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) — Police are searching for a man and woman who pulled out a gun and robbed two teens in Short Pump last Saturday.

Henrico Lieutenant Linda N. Toney said in a news release that the robbery happened around 10:40 p.m. as the two teens were walking across a parking lot in the 1650 block of West Broad Street.

Police said the teens were were approached by a black female and black male who pulled out a handgun and demanded items.

The teens handed over cash and other valuables.

The suspects were last seen walking on foot.

Authorities said the pair was spotted at a nearby convenience store just before the robbery. A surveillance photo shows the male suspect wearing a green and yellow ball cap.

The suspects are described as:

  • Black male – 19-23 years old, 5’7”-5’9”, 150-165 pounds, wearing an olive-green jacket, blue pants and a green and yellow ball cap.
  • Black female – 18-21 years old, 5’5”-5’7”, 120-135 pounds, wearing a black and gray jacket, blue jeans, and a black and gray hat.
