GLEN LYN, Va. (WTVR) -- The Mayor of Glen Lyn faces a judge Thursday afternoon after being arrested on charges of domestic assault and brandishing a firearm.

Mayor Thomas Ould, known as Rick, has been held in the New River Valley Regional Jail since last week, after his bond was denied.

Court records indicate he assaulted his wife in Glen Lyn, which is near Giles County.

The judge previously denied bond because a firearm was involved and believed the woman's life could be in danger.

Ould is expected to ask a judge to allow bond.
