(WTVR) -- Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" may have  won widespread critical acclaim for its portrayal of our nation's 16th president and his mission to abolish slavery, but one lawmaker is fuming over a historical inaccuracy.

That's because two of three Connecticut congressman voted against the Thirteenth Amendment In the movie.

However, a congressional research group says there were actually four congressman that supported abolishing slavery in the January 1865 vote.

The Associated Press reports that four-term Connecticut Congressman Representative Joe Courtney wrote Spielberg asking that the movie be corrected for accuracy before being released on DVD.

The movie was filmed in Richmond and Petersburg last year.
