ICELAND - Imagine having the government tell you that you need to change your name because it isn't feminine enough.
A 15-year-old girl had to take the government to court to get the right to keep her name.
"Blaer" is considered a boys name, and the Icelandic government was so against a girl having a boys name that they refused to print it on her ID cards.
She sued, and yesterday a district court ruled that the name "Blaer" can now be used for both boys and girls in the country.
