RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)–At 11:55 p.m., Virginia Commonwealth University issued a text alert that there was an armed robbery on Monroe Park Campus.
The alert said that the robbery took place at Hancock and Marshall Streets, at 11:39 p.m. Wednesday.
Police are on scene, and residents were encouraged to avoid the area.
