RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Player safety among football players has become of the utmost importance over the past few years.

The NFL has made new rules that fine players money for hitting too hard or targeting player's heads when they tackle. Some hits even knock helmets off of players.

Local inventor Allen Bancroft says he has a new invention that could reduce the number of head injuries by making chin straps harder to unfasten. It's called NogginLOC and he's looking to get some attention for his idea.

You can read more about the NogginLOC on their website here.
