Green turns Blue, Hermitage star chooses Michigan

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Hermitage High School running back Derrick Green chose to attend the University of Michigan over Tennessee and Auburn. Green announced his choice Saturday afternoon.

ESPN ranked Green the No. 5 running back and No. 38 prospect in the country.

Green made the announcement in front of family, friends and coaches Saturday afternoon at the Glen Allen Culturial Arts Center.

He said that his final decision wasn't made until Saturday morning.

The All-Metro running back and Colonial District Player of the Year rushed for 1,285 yards and 20 touchdowns for Hermitage last season.
