UPDATE: The lanes reopened around 12:20 p.m. The crash remains under investigation by the Virginia State Police.
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) — A single-vehicle crash has shutdown I-64 east in Henrico County near the I-295 interchange in Short Pump Wednesday morning.
Virginia State Police’s Sgt. Thomas Molnar said the wreck happened just after 11 a.m. near mile marker 178 in Henrico County.
The accident sent two people to VCU Medical Center with serious injuries.
Molnar said all lanes of I-64 east were closed as of 11:40 a.m., but that the left shoulder is open to traffic.
State police said the crash remains under investigation.
