Fatal accident in Prince Edwards leaves one dead

PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, Va (WTVR)- Virginia State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at intersection of Routes 460 and 616 in Prince Edward crash. The two vehicle crash happened around 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.

State police tell CBS6 that a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville was making a left turn from eastbound Route 460 onto Route 616 when it pulled into the path of a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling west on Route 460. The pickup was unable to avoid the Bonneville and struck it in the passenger side.

Dylan H. Ragan, 24, of Burkeville, who was a passenger died at the scene. The driver of the Bonneville was transported to VCU MCV Hospital in Richmond for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the F-150 pickup truck suffered only minor injuries.

The crash still remains under investigation.
