RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Should Virginia create its own currency? State Del. Bob Marshall (R - Manassas) has proposed a house joint resolution (HJ590)to study the matter.
According to the filing, Marshall wants to study whether Virginia should "adopt an alternate medium of commerce or currency" just in case the Federal Reserve System breaks down.
