Sheen says Mayor ‘partied’ for hours, Villaraigosa denies claim

Charlie Sheen is claiming he “partied” with Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, a claim the mayor denies.

On Sunday, Villaraigosa strongly defended his decision to pose for a photograph with Charlie Sheen late last year when he spoke to NBC4LA, claiming he is “in the picture taking business” and he simply spoke to the actor while vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

“I had a three minute conversation with him, I took a picture… I take a picture every single day, 50 times, and I took a picture with him,” Villaraigosa told NBC4LA.

However, Sheen told TMZ a different story on Tuesday:

“I memorize 95 pages a week, so the last thing that I am is memory challenged. We hung out for the better part of 2 hours, discussing his L.A. roots, his poignant bullet campaign as well as his numeric 3 AM lawn-watering tactics,” the actor told TMZ. “He’s a terrific guy, a great Mayor and he can drink with the best of ‘em: Me.  Quite a memorable night indeed.”

Sheen posted the photograph on his Twitter account back in December, and it was picked up by several news organizations.

Along with the photo, Sheen tweeted:

“From Boyle Heights 2 Mayor of LA! Antonio Villaraigosa knows how to party.”

The Mayor’s office told TMZ they would have “no further comment.”
