CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WSOC) -- A driver is accused of leading police on a chase up sidewalks, over curbs and right through a television station's front lawn in Charlotte Thursday.

Troopers say the chase started when an officer noticed the man wasn't wearing his seat belt.

Much of the chase was captured on the TV station's tower cam, including when the suspect  burned out doing a doughnut around a patrol car.

"Don't put me on the news," Marcus James, who is now facing several charges, including hit-and-run, reckless driving and driving without a license, said.
