RICHMOND, VA (WTVR) - Fire crews were able to contain a fire on Richmond's north side after battling heavy smoke and flames in an abandoned home. Crews were called to the scene at 3200 block of 4th Avenue near Pollock Street shortly after 2 a.m. this morning.
It took about 30 firefighters around 20 minutes to contain the fire.
The majority of the fire was contained to the main room of the one and a half story home.
The structure, which is abandoned, did not have working utilities.
Crews are still investigating the cause at this time.
The are no known injuries.
