LAKE CHESDIN, Va. (WTVR) – The Appomattox River Water Authority has lifted  mandatory water restrictions impacting five central Virginia localities.

People living in Chesterfield, Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie and Prince George had been asked since August to only water their lawns and wash their cars on certain days because of low water levels along Lake Chesdin.

However, recent rains have helped ease the deficit.
