(WTVR) — Producers announced Thursday that the curtain is closing not even a month after Katie Holmes’ play “Dead Accounts” premiered.

The drama, which opened to poor ticket sales and mixed reviews, will officially end on Jan. 6 after just 27 previews and 44 performances.

The Broadway show featuring Tom Cruise’s ex-wife was axed seven weeks ahead of schedule.

The Huffington Postreported that just 38 percent of seats were filled last week during shows.

Holmes and Tom Cruise ended their marriage earlier this year.
