RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Former VCU volleyball coach James Finley said in a statement that he is disappointed in the outcome of the university's investigation into his discrimination complaint.

Finley claimed he was fired because he was gay.

VCU President Michael Rao said the investigation found Finley's termination had nothing to do with his sexual orientation.

However, in a statement released by GetEqual.org, Finely said in part, "I am dismayed by the poor quality of the investigative procedures followed and by numerous factual inaccuracies included in the report."

Finley said he will spend the holidays figuring out what his options are to challenge the report and his findings.
