Huguenot Bridge closures tonight could slow you down

RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - Crews are scheduled to work on the Huguenot Bridge tonight. Weather permitting. You could see closures and delays of up to 45 minutes on either side of the bridge.
Flaggers will alternate one lane of traffic over the bridge from 10pm - 5am tomorrow.

If you want to avoid the area- try using these detours:

• Northbound Huguenot Road - Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) north over the Willey Bridge to River Road east to Huguenot Road or use Powhite Parkway (toll) east into Richmond
• Southbound Huguenot Road – River Road west to Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) south to Huguenot Road

There will also be closures next week in the same area. To help you prep here are the details:

December 29 (Thursday) 10 p.m.-5 a.m. – Traffic will be stopped for up to 45 minutes overnight to allow crews to remove temporary sheet piles. Traffic will resume between sheet pile removal activities.

Dec. 28 (Friday) 10 p.m.-5 a.m. – Traffic will be stopped for up to 45 minutes overnight to allow crews to remove temporary sheet piles. Traffic will resume between sheet pile removal activities.

Jan. 4 (Friday) 10 a.m.-3 p.m. – Flaggers will alternate one lane of traffic over the bridge. Expect periodic delays of up to 15 minutes. Crews will be shifting traffic to the new approach on the north end of the bridge.
