HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) — Henrico County is boosting police presence outside schools in the wake of the Connecticut elementary school shooting.
Those extra officers will be posted through the end of the week, after school leaders received word of a threat made against Varina High School.
Several parents contacted us, after hearing the rumor of a possible shooting at the school.
Henrico County School spokesman Andy Jenks says the district is aware of the rumor, but that the threat is not credible.
