CEDAR LAKE, Ind. (CNN) – A threat against an elementary school in Indiana was made before the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary, and it was made by a man with dozens of guns.
Police arrested 60-year-old Von Meyer Saturday morning. A day before, they say he threatened to set his wife on fire.
He’s also accused of threatened to enter the elementary school near their Cedar Lake home, killing as many people as he could before authorities arrived.
Police seized 47 guns from inside Meyer’s home. A local station reports most of those weapons were collector’s items — in all, likely worth more than $100,000.
Meyer now faces charges of domestic battery and felony intimidation.
