RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - Construction crews will be on scene along 95 north and south overnight this week for ongoing bridge work. Crews will be working on the Robin Hood and Sherwood Avenue bridges. 95 North and South will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Belvidere Street (mile marker 76) and Boulevard (mile marker 78). Expect major delays along 95 during work hours, 8pm - 6am.
Detours will be in place. Be prepared for these shifts in the traffic pattern:
** 95 south traffic will merge onto the northbound bridge. Both I-95 north and south traffic will use the northbound bridge to maneuver around the construction. Traffic on Robin Hood Road under the bridge will be reduced to one lane in each direction. From 7 p.m.-6 a.m., Sherwood Avenue under I-95 and the ramp from Robin Hood Road to I-95 south will be closed. Follow posted detour routes. Expect major delays along I-95. Use I-295, Route 288 and the Downtown Expressway (toll)/I-195 to bypass the construction.
These overnight closures are scheduled to continue through Friday evening each night.
