Petersburg UPS driver shot on delivery route

PETERSBURG, Va. (WTVR)—A UPS delivery driver was shot this evening and has been taken to the hospital.

Police sources tell CBS 6 that just after 8 p.m. tonight, a UPS driver was shot in what may have been a robbery attempt, although Petersburg Police say the motive has not been determined. 

The driver was stopped at Lieutenants Run Apartments when he was confronted.  

Sources tell CBS 6 that the driver was shot once in the leg. He was taken to the Southside Regional Medical Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
