(WTVR) – Next week, the state will hold three public hearings where residents can voice their opinions about putting tolls on Virginia’s interstates.

The first meeting will take place on Monday at Sussex Central High School in Sussex County from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The second meeting will be on Wednesday at the John Tyler Community College in Chester from 6 p.m to 8 p.m.

The final meeting will be on Monday, December 17 at the VDOT Fredericksburg District in Fredericksburg from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

VDOT and Governor McDonnell are proposing putting tolls on I-95 and I-64 as a way to make more money for road maintenance.
