OKLAHOMA, Ok. (WTVR) — An Oklahoma teen will have to go to church every Sunday for 10 years, and serve 10 years probation according to a judge’s sentence.
17-year-old Tyler Alred was convicted of manslaughter for the drunken driving death of his friend. But now the Americal Civil Liberties Union is taking up his case. They say it violates Alred’s First Amendment rights.
The panel hearing the complaint could take any number of actions in the case. Anything from issuing a letter of reprimand or removing the judge from his bench.
