(WTVR) — If you would like to work closer to home, or even out of your home, the “home party” option is a growing way to go.

It used to be tough for companies other than Tupperware and Mary Kay to be successful through parties, but now it’s grown to include companies like Pampered Chef, 31, Scentsy and Stella and Dot.

Stella and Dot Co-Founder Jessica Herrin says their sales are expected to top $200 million dollars this year.

The “Home Party” business has grown due in part to social media, smart phones and a tough economy.
