BRUSSELS (WTVR) - It was a one of a kind protest staged by dairy farmers from across Europe.

Dairy farmers sprayed and poured 15,000 liters of milk on the European Parliament building in Brussels, Belgium.

Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowd. In addition to the milky mess left behind, windows were shattered. Click on the video to see more.

The farmers are upset over what they say are excessive quotas and prices for milk that are far lower than the costs for production.
