RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The Washington Redskins and Bon Secours plan to rally outside Richmond City Hall. According to an email from Bon Secours CEO to employees, the rally is designed to show support for plans that bring Redskins training camp to Richmond.
Council is scheduled to vote on the plan this evening.
“Tonight’s vote reflects the package that Bon Secours Virginia, the City and the Redskins have developed with potential for significant impact in the form of new jobs, an increased tax base and additional health services in several locations across the city,” Bernard’s email to employees read. “It also will result in a lease agreement between the City and St. Mary’s Hospital for the Westhampton School property to be utilized for the hospital’s expansion.”
Bon Secours tweeted about the rally earlier on Monday.
