Hanover County, Va. (WTVR) - In a rematch of a regular-season meeting from three weeks ago...Hanover went on the road and beat the number one seed in the Division Five playoffs Lee-Davis 28-21 to advance to their fifth straight Regional Final.
The Confederates would take a 7-0 lead on a Brandon Sulser touchdown pass to DeShaun Rogers. The drive started on a Sam Rogers fumble near midfield.
Rogers would make for that mistake by scoring a touchdown in the second quarter to give the Hawks a 14-7 lead.
The Hanover quarterback would score two more touchdowns in the second half that would give the Hawks a 28-21 lead.
The Hawks defense made that score hold up late in the game when Dante Hanyesworth would intercept a Sulser pass as Lee-Davis was driving to clinch Hanover's berth in the Division Five Regional Final.
