UPDATE: The Halfiax County Sherrif's Office has confirmed that Alexis Carwile and Jennifer Carwile have been found in Prince George's County, Maryland. The child is fine.
UPDATE: Police located Eric Black and his vehicle in Chesterfield County, however Jennifer Carwile and one-year-old Alexis Carwile remain missing.
HALIFAX, Va. (WTVR) - Police say that a toddler has been abducted and could now be in serious danger.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday night, the Virginia State Police and Virginia Missing Children Clearing House issued an Amber Alert for an abduction that occurred in Halifax on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
Two suspects are wanted and police said they may be traveling in a 1985 brown Nissan station wagon, with Virginia license plate XNJ9177. Police said subjects may be headed to Washington D.C. area.
The Halifax County Sheriff's office is looking for Alexis Rose Carwile, black, female, about 18 months old. She is 2 feet,6 inches tall and weighs 20 lbs, with brown eyes and uncombed black hair. She was last seen wearing an orange shirt, blue jeans pants, black/white/pink tennis shoes, and a pink jacket.
Police said that the child is likely abducted by Eric Eugene Black, a black male, age 41-years-old. His height is listed as 5 feet 7 inches, with his weight 145 lbs. He has brown eyes and black hair.
Police said that they are also searching for Jennifer Dawn Carwilea, a white female, age 35-years-old, height 5 feet 5 inches, weight 170 lbs., with green eyes and red hair.
The child was last seen in the 1000 block of Lower Liberty Road in Halifax.
