(WTVR) – UPS says it will no longer give money to the Boy Scouts of America. The shipping giant says that’s the way it’s going to be, as long as they discriminate against homosexuals.

The UPS Foundation, the company’s charitable arm,  posted the following statement on its website:

“The UPS Foundation seeks to support organizations that are in alignment with our focus areas, guidelines, and non-discrimination policy. UPS and The UPS Foundation do not discriminate against any person or organization with regard to categories protected by applicable law, as well as other categories protected by UPS and The UPS Foundation in our own policies. These include, but are not limited to race, gender, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or military status, pregnancy, age and religion.”

The boy scouts said this summer it was sticking with the long-standing policy of excluding openly gay youth and adults as members and leaders. More than 300,000 people signed a petition on Change.org after to reinstate Jennifer Tyrrell as a den leader after she was dismissed for being a lesbian.

Last year the UPS foundation reportedly donated more than $85,000 to the scouts. They’re the second such company to pull funding in recent months. In September the computer company Intel announced thy too would be pulling their funding.
