RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – A man was arrested and charged Tuesday in connection with a deadly accident last week, according to Richmond police.
Police said 53-year-old David Hagerman, of the 1800 block of Binford Lane, was charged with reckless driving after the box truck he was driving hit a 62-year-old man on a bike.
Officials said Luther M. Jefferson was struck on Mechanicsville Turnpike near the I-64 off ramp around 3:30 p.m. last Thursday.
Jefferson later died at the hospital.
