Red Cross assists residents after house fire

Richmond, Va. (WTVR) – Richmond Fire Department responded to a call of a house fire just after 4 p.m. Sunday evening.

Firefighters responded within minutes to a single story home located in the 4300 block of Ferguson Lane. We are told heavy smoke was visible once the firefighters arrived on scene. The fire was marked under control around 4:30 p.m.

There were no reports of any person trapped in the home or injuries.

American Red Cross was called to to assist two adults and two children.
