RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)–Virginia Commonwealth University just sent out a text alert about an armed robbery near the Monroe Park Campus.
The text alert said that the armed robbery just occurred at Monroe and Broad Streets. This location is about four blocks away from Monroe Park. Police have not said whether the victim was male or female.
The VCU text alert says to avoid the area.
Another robbery occurred an hour later on 11th Street. Police are looking for four suspects. There's no word yet if the two crimes are related.
