(WTVR) - One liners that have struck a nerve during political debates are now inspiring costume ideas across the country.

One teacher in Arizona used her school's spirit week to make a political statement.

Leslie Baker went to school as a binder full of women.

She says she was hoping her costume would raise awareness of the issues in the upcoming election.

And in St. Petersburg Florida, a woman entered a Halloween pub crawl costume contest dressed as a binder.

Victoria Roberts says she knew it would turn some heads and hoped it would win her the contest.

This of course refers to the comment Mitt Romney made in the second debate last week.

He made the remark while trying to highlight his background in hiring women during his tenure as the Governor of Massachusetts.
