The Richmond Spiders field hockey team knocked off Temple 4-1 on Sunday and took over sole possession of first place in the A-10 with the win.
This goal from Rebecca Barry was one of the most spectacular you will see. She dribbles the ball, much like Tiger Woods in one of his more famous commercials. Barry then flips the ball over the goalie before slamming it into the back of the goal.
Barry, who has scored two goals in three of the last five games, now has the team lead with 11 goals and has 30 points on the season.
The Spiders (13-4, 5-0 Atlantic 10) improved to 8-0 at home this season and won their eighth-straight game. which ties for the fifth-longest winning streak in school history.
Richmond is needs to win one of its final two games to clinch its eighth Atlantic 10 Regular Season Championship in the last 11 years. The Spiders play at Lock Haven on Friday and at La Salle next Sunday to wrap-up the regular season.
The Spiders have clinched a berth in the 2012 Atlantic 10 Championship, which will take place Nov. 2-3 at the University of Massachusetts.
