CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WTVR) — Wednesday the parents of  Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington will gather at the spot where she was last seen alive. It marks the three-year anniversary since her disappearance, after she was denied re-entry to a Metallica concert in Charlottesville.

Her parents Gil and Dan Harrington will hold a press conference at the Copley Bridge near the University of Virginia campus.

This is where Harrington was last seen. Her body was found three months later on a farm in Albemarle County.

To this day, her murder remains unsolved.

After her death, Harrington’s parents became activists for crime prevention and changes in law enforcement procedure.

Recently the case appeared on America’s Most Wanted. Virginia State Police say they have received several new tips after it aired.
