(WTVR) – Starting next year, it will cost you a penny more to send your mail. The U.S. Postal Service says because of budget cuts, the price of a first-class stamp will go up one-cent in January, to 46-cents.

In addition, the Postal Service is also introducing a new global version of the “forever” stamp. It will allow customers to send first class letters to anywhere in the world for $1.10.
