RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) — Two brothers, Adam Wallace, 21, and Zachary Wallace, 20, were set to appear before a general district judge Thursday morning.  But because of a mix-up with the court, the two did not appear and the case has been postponed.

The two are both facing assault by mob charges in Richmond.  Offenses police say are connected to the beating and robbery of a VCU student in August.

However prosecutors said the brothers are currently behind bars in Henrico for other offenses, unrelated to the Richmond charge.  Between the two, prosecutors said their Henrico charges include grand larceny, burglary, robbery and firearm offenses.

Zachary Wallace’s lawyer, J. Martelino, told CBS 6 News reporter Jerrita Patterson both brothers are facing up to a year behind bars and a $2500 fine each if convicted of the assault by mob charge in Richmond.  Their Richmond cases have been rescheduled to Friday, October 12, at 10:00 a.m.
